About Me
I specialise as a generalist.
Some say I've lived many lives because of the breadth of experience I have. From corporations to creatives, C-suites to customers, retail to digital experiences, I can apply my broad set of skills and passions flexibly to solve all kinds of problems. My one specialty? Being human-centred.
As an Innovation Consultant, I apply design thinking and take a human-centred approach to projects in Customer Experience Design, Business & IT Transformation, and any challenges that put people's needs first. Put simply, I understand people’s experiences, figure out what annoys them, and find creative ways to make their lives better.
I found my career-calling when I first discovered design thinking some years ago and realised my passion for behavioural science. My favourite part about human-centred design is the people-watching and understanding their “why’s”.
In my professional and personal life, I always strive to lead with empathy, curiosity, and creativity. Combined with my business-acumen and a will to tackle ‘sticky problems’, I am both human-centred and pragmatic in the process and delivery of outcomes. I’ve frequently been told that I have an infectious energy when it comes to solving problems and it comes from a genuine passion and love for what I do every day. I’m grateful that I get to work with amazing people and constantly learn along the way.
Integrity and vulnerability are most important to me and what this looks like in my life is best articulated by my spirit-animal, Brené Brown. “Choosing courage over comfort; choosing what is right over what is fun, fast or easy; and choosing to practice our values rather than simply professing them."
So tell me, what’s your story?
