Photography is a way for me to practice two important skills: empathy and awareness.

Heightened awareness, developing empathy and visual storytelling through a camera lens

Since young, I have been fascinated by the way a photograph can freeze reality. They can transport people back in time and re-experience a moment. I wanted this superpower: the ability to communicate and make people feel the feelings of another person.

Empathy is about taking the perspective of another to understand how they think and feel. Photography has helped me become more aware of physical environments, movement and emotions through facial expressions and body language.
